about WOZQ
established in 1949, WOZQ is smith college's one and only fm radio station, committed to bringing high–quality programming to our listeners on and off campus. we believe in the power of college radio, and its importance as a unique means of communication and cultural exchange with our community.
as an independent station organized and cared for exclusively by students, WOZQ is an alternative to mainstream media, giving airtime to young voices, diverse music, news, and local events.
WOZQ is one of the oldest radio stations run by women & LGBTQ folks, providing a public platform and opportunities for empowerment for more than 70 years. we broadcast to the pioneer valley area of western massachusetts, and can be found on the dial at 91.9 fm.
